A Historic Home, A Modern Experience
The Pines is more than a restaurant—it’s a restoration of what dining was meant to be: intentional, personal, and full of soul.
Our story begins in the heart of Draper, Utah, inside a house built in 1878 by Joshua Terry, a pioneer and storyteller in his own right. This home, rich with character and quiet strength, stood the test of time—until it found new life as The Pines. Rather than erase its past, we chose to preserve it, celebrating original craftsmanship while carefully layering in a modern, elevated hospitality experience.
Every room at The Pines tells a story. From the handmade brickwork to the refinished wood floors, we’ve honored the spirit of the house while creating something new—an atmosphere where elegance meets ease, and where every guest feels like they’ve stepped into a space designed with care.
Our cuisine reflects the same philosophy. We craft contemporary French-American dishes rooted in seasonality, balance, and technique. Ingredients are locally sourced when possible, and menus change to reflect the rhythm of the land and the moment. This isn’t just about eating—it’s about savoring. About slowing down. About connecting.
We believe great dining is more than just what’s on the plate—it’s the environment, the conversation, the quiet moments between bites. It’s the familiar warmth of being welcomed, and the thrill of discovering something unexpected. At The Pines, we’re building a place where memories take root. A place to celebrate milestones, reconnect with old friends, or simply enjoy a Tuesday evening a little more deeply.Because like the pine tree—resilient, rooted, and always reaching upward—we believe in creating something lasting.
Welcome home.
At The Pines, we believe the best food starts with the best ingredients. That’s why we work closely with local farmers, purveyors, and producers to bring you the freshest seasonal offerings Utah has to offer. From heritage meats to just-picked greens, every ingredient reflects a sense of place—and a commitment to quality. Our kitchen blends classical technique with a reverence for the region, letting each component shine without unnecessary embellishment. The result: dishes that are honest, expressive, and deeply satisfying.
